Committee on the Grading of Nursing Schools, 1925-1931
(MG 3.5, 8 file folders)
In the 1920s, the National Committee on the Grading of Nursing
Schools was organized under the joint leadership of the American
Medical Association and the National League of Nursing Education.
This committee, representing the medical, surgical, hospital,
public health, patient and nursing groups, was formed to make
an intensive study of nursing service. This series includes
the results of the committee’s first grading of nursing
schools under the categories of the student body, curriculum,
and administration.
