and the Thomas Bond Society - the hospital's medical alumni
society. Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education
Pennsylvania Hospital trains health professionals to be the
best in their fields. Well regarded for its broad range of
clerkship, residency and fellowship programs, Pennsylvania
Hospital is the first choice for many medical students because
of its exceptional faculty and diverse training environment.
A number of social events are held throughout the year to offer
a respite from the busy training schedule. These include an
annual dinner dance at the end of each academic year, a summer
barbecue and a holiday party.
Thomas Bond Society
As the medical alumni organization of Pennsylvania Hospital,
the Thomas Bond Society promotes educational and social relationships
among past and present residents, attending physicians and
alumni physicians. The society is dedicated to reinforcing
the unique blend of humanistic and scientific qualities that
have been associated with Pennsylvania Hospital for the past
two centuries. The society keeps its members well-informed
of current and future developments at the hospital through
a newsletter and an annual educational symposium.
