There are over 300 35mm slides in the collection. This series
has been divided into six series, which include:
Subseries A: Buildings,
(c.1950-1961), (1983-1989)
Internal and external aspects of Hospital property. Showcases the variant architecture
and grounds of the Hospital. Also includes many images of building construction
progress over the years.
Subseries B: Events, Hospital
Sponsored, 1959, 1962
Images of Hospital sponsored dedications and receptions.
Subseries C: Informational,
c.1957, c.1989
Information on the Hospital’s construction projects and fiscal status.
Typewritten and presented in slide format. Most were used in the past in presentations.
Subseries D: Instruments
/ Artifacts, c.1954-1956, 1984-1989
Photographs of some of the instruments used over the years to treat patients,
as well as artifacts housed in the Hospital’s Historic Collections.
Subseries E: Paintings,
1945-1946 + [n.d.]
Images of painted portraits and other artwork.
Subseries F: People,
c.1940s-1950s
One image of a nurse and one image of patients.
According to the Hospital Insurance Portability & Accountability
Act (HIPAA), effective April 14th, 2003, Hospital employees
are not permitted to provide access to identifying information
of any patient - past, present, or future. As a result, access
to, or reproductions of, any images in which patients appear,
cannot be granted, unless the patients' faces are blurred
so as to be unrecognizable.
